Inquiry and mastery
Formative assessment helps teachers adapt challenge and support so each learner can make meaningful progress.
About GPS
Ghaf Private School is a close-knit British curriculum community where academic excellence, individuality, empathy and 21st-century life skills grow together.
Our name comes from the Ghaf tree, Prosopis cineraria, the UAE's national tree. Native to the desert, drought-tolerant and evergreen, it is known for resilience and became a symbol of tolerance during the UAE Year of Tolerance in 2019. These qualities guide the character we nurture in every learner.

GPS promises to provide the destination for a thriving community of learners that fosters academic excellence, respect, responsibility, individuality and empathy through interculturalism and shared core values, that can adapt to meet the needs of the ever-changing world.
Student-centred, inquiry-led learning gives every child practical steppingstones towards mastery, confidence and independence.
Formative assessment helps teachers adapt challenge and support so each learner can make meaningful progress.
Purposeful technology, STREAM learning and creative problem-solving prepare pupils for an evolving world.
Physical, moral, personal, social and emotional development sit alongside strong academic foundations.
KHDA-aligned benchmarking and intercultural learning broaden perspective while honouring language and identity.
The campus includes an indoor gym and multipurpose area, a presentation theatre, IT suite, Library and Resources Centre, STREAM and music classrooms, an Inclusion Unit with a sensory room, outdoor learning areas and a garden.

We believe parent and guardian involvement strengthens both pupil wellbeing and progress.
